Memory question...

Hi,

When I open Advanced Task Killer, it shows I have 77M remaining. That seems pretty low. I downloaded a bunch of apps yesterday and was wondering if the live wallpapers are responsible for the low memory. What do you think? Also, what do you have remaining? I try to go into the NookColor tools because I'm assuming I could potentially see what is using the most memory but I seem to be forever stuck in the app list because my "back" key doesn't seem to want to take me out of the app list. Any recommendations?

Ok now it went to 255M after messing around with it for a while. I guess I don't really understand how the memory works on this thing...LOL!

Android leaves apps on memory as long as possible, so when you launch them again they start faster. That's why your free memory is low, it's being used to keep apps loaded. Android will kill apps as needed if your foreground app requires more memory.

A piece of advice: do not mess with the memory and loaded apps, let Android take care of it, it'll most likely do a better job than any app manager you install.

+1 on this advice. Android does a much, much better job of managing memory than Windows. On the very rare occasion that things seem to slow down considerably, you'd be better off rebooting your NC.
