running apps

Ok, so I have it rooted and I have pulled down a couple of apps from the marketplace. My problem is I only seem to be able to access the apps via the download tab on the market screen. How do I access them the without going to the marketplace?

well, that certainly helps someone else who encounters the same or similar issue. Thanks for that then.

Probably the issue was the launcher not refreshing and re-loading the apps (if you use the stock launcher, it does not refresh when launched and thus will not show newly installed apps). There are a couple of solutions to this problem, one is to reboot, the other is to kill the launcher (via some app manager, or via ADB).

thanks...makes sense. So it is sort of a kill the process, in this case the launcher then call it back up again? Sorry my -ix is extremely rusty other than my N800 the last time I had to maintain an -ix system was about '90-'95 and that was totally being tossed in the deep end with zero training or experience. Oh what fun times. Just figure out the issue apply a bubblegum & bailing wire patch then get back to stomping out fires for the other 200 users all running Win/DOS boxes... But I think I get the idea of what was happening.

That's correct, you need to kill the process and then you launch it again by going to "Extras" in the menu. It will on launch check the apps available and show them in the drawer. Other than rebooting, the simplest way is to use an app manager.
