Managing Forums
Is there a way for me to subscribe to a forum rather than to a thread? I'm looking for a way to jump straight to the forums that interest me, rather than having to scroll up and down the Forums page https://www.mobileread.com/forums/
As a Kindle owner, I'm not at all interested in new postings on the Kobo or Sony forums. Likewise, want to be notified about new postings in the Calibre forum, but have no interest at all in the Writer's Corner. Anybody have any tips for this new member? |

User Control Panel -> Edit Options -> Forum Exclusions
that allows you to filter out forums from the "New Posts" lists. |

But yes, you can also subscribe to a forum from the [Forum Tools] drop-down in the menu bar. (You only see that when you're in the Forum - not in a thread.) If you do that, you'll see the subscribed-to forum list in your control panel, and you can get new thread and post update summaries by email. |

The combo that worked best for me
Subscribe to Forum
AND Going to "User CP" rather than "Forums" The User Control Panel lists subscribed forums and threads in a nice compact view and provide quick access to the bits I'm particularly interested in. (When I don't have time to browse through the other forums.) Thank-you again. |

And if you still want to look at the main forum page you initially linked to, but with the forums you're not interested in minimised, you'll also see in each forum's main heading/darker blue bar, a "-" sign on the right which will collapse all its sub-forums (and the sign turns into a "+" if you want to re-expand it). This also works on some items in your UserCP.
