Which to keep, which to sell? Kobo or Sony?

I had picked up a Kobo WiFi for $69 at the closing Borders near me (they are $59 now BTW). Today I picked up the Sony Pocket edition for $115+change from the same Borders (40% off).
The title presents my dilemma. What do the mobilereaders suggest?

I like the Kobo. It is a step up from my old Sony Touch (PRS600). It has a bigger screen aand is quite light.
The Sony has a smaller screen and no SD card support, but its screen is even better (or so I am told) than the Kobo. Its metal body is also sturdier and I believe that 2GB is more than enough for ebooks.

Please help me resolve this dilemma.

I think only you can answer which one you like reading with best. Personally I'd keep both.

I'd love to keep both but can't justify it to the significant other.
Unfortunately SO is not into reading much.

You have them both. Add the same book to each one so you can compare them fairly and use them a bit. You should find out pretty quick which one you prefer to read from and to keep.

Personally I have the PRS-650 and think you will probably like the 350 better in the long run, despite the slightly smaller screen, because of the more compact profile and nice touch screen interface.

Honestly, at the price you paid, I would keep both of them until you can make up your mind, because you can always give away the Kobo as a gift later or unload it on Ebay, or here on the mobileread flea market, at pretty much the same price you paid.

I agree with keeping them both too if that's at all an option. You got each of them for a fantastic price. As delphin said, one to give away as a gift maybe, or even keep the extra one as a backup in place your main reader ever needs repair/replacing. The cost of them both is barely slightly more than the real cost of one reader (Sony 350 is usually $179).

I got 400 books on my PRS350 and still 1.2 GB left, you will be hard pressed to get it full and you can always store the books you've already read on your netbook. Having both a touchscreen and a push-button reader all I can say, the touchscreen for me makes the better = more natural reading experience. Also the better screen resolution of the Sony enables me to read at a smaller font than on the 6" device which funny enough means there are more words on the screen and fewer page turns for me with the Sony. I love mine to bits!

Being avid readers, we all know where our priorities lie; ...keep both and get another significant other.

Give one to the significant other. Or, get a new significant other.

Smile 's easy...................................

Keep both.

Decide to use the Sony.

Tell signif other you got Koby for her/him, as a Christmas/Birthday present (whichever's sooner)as you thought of her/him as soon as you saw it, and are so excited you can't possibly wait 'till then to give it to her/him.

He/she will be entranced at your thoughtfulness (big brownie points), will cover you with kisses and gratitude (BIGGer brownie points, and a Good Thing), will instantly feel obliged to get you even more impressive Birthday/Christmas present (HUGE brownie points, and A Very Good Thing). So, emotional profit and well-being all round.

Then, later, if he/she goes off it, can't get on with it, etc.. sell Kobo, buy her/him bunch of flowers with what you will say is the meagre return (reasonable brownie point/s but still worth having)..........................

With the surplus you will make, put it with the price you will make if you sell the 350, and get a 650 !

Or, the environmentally friendly solution, and a lot of fun for both, followed by lots of significant othering................

Try both, frequently. See which one you like better subjectively. Can you see that the Sony screen is "even better" (so you're told)? If not, does it matter?

If you're selling (rather than returning), then the Sony probably has better resale value. On the other hand, if you like the Sony better then that's the one to keep.

Since they both use Epub, you could even load up the same book and keep switching between readers on it (now that Kobo finally has "Go to Page" functionality).
