New Member, Still Deviceless

Hi...I just found your forum and since our publisher recently put my dog's (yes, dog) book, Bad To The Bone:Memoir Of A Rebel Doggie Blogger, on Kindle I decided it's time for me to consider one. I haven't actually decided which way to go yet so I thought this would be a good forum to check out.

Welcome to MobileRead Kensy. This is a very good place to use as a resource in making a decision about which reader to buy. Of course, it is a volatile technology, so whatever you decide on, be prepared to see a more feature-rich version in the near future. Regardless of your choice, I believe you will delight in the technology.

Well the Kindle is great if you forsee your self as having a huge electronic book library and/or you can see yourself buying very oddball books - let's face it Amazon has everything in terms of books. If you need foreign langeuge on board dictioneries buy a Sony PRS. If you want a color screen buy a Nook Color or a Libra Pro color. Do you see yourself reading foreign languege books then buy a bookeen. Do you see yourself reading A4 books, then buy a bookeen. Do you want to pay less for a book reader rather than more, then buy a Kobo. Do you have a smart phone already and want to pay less, try downloading and installing free reades for the smart phones.

@jbcohen...appreciate the info. I like the Kindle because you can read it outside, however, I really like that the Nook offers color. I also still like having a book in my hands although I know the convenience of having a book reader. This is probably why I haven't been able to make any decisions.
