Can anybody help, my ebook won't turn off. Can only use it when plugged in to the mains, which is no good on holiday by the pool. How do I get it to switch off.

Good to have your company, Joan. Never had this problem with the 505 myself since I bought a mains charger a couple of years ago to ensure a full charge. JB's suggestion's good.
