Refurb Sony 300 @ Big Lots $100

May or may not be a good deal. I have never priced them. I was just suprised to see them there.

This is the Lake City, FL store but likely they are in other stores too. They also had the Slick ereader again for $89 last time I was there. I'll be keeping my eyes open for other readers whenever I stop in.

I saw them there the other day. But at the prices the 350 is selling for in the US (less than $150 if you shop around), I'd say the price is kind of at the margin of being acceptable. If it were priced at $90, I'd say no question, it's worth it, but that extra $10 puts it in the undecided category for me.

As good as the 300 is, I've found the that the 350 really is that much better.

Yeah, it seemed a bit high, especially for a refurb. I decided to post since I was unfamiliar with Sony's pricing.

Big Lots does have some really good deals on other electronics. It's like a treasure hunt, you never know what you're going to see there.

I was in Sony Style here in Toronto on Tuesday. They are selling the 300 for $99 ca and the cases for $29. If I hadn't been buying a 350 to replace a 300 I would have considered it. As it is we will have a prs-505 silver, prs-300 blue, prs-650 red and a prs-350 pink all with covers to match. Don't need any more!

This makes the PRS300 at $80 a no-brainer! Thanks I might buy one even though I have the 350

Are you able to change the thread title to reflect the one-day discount? $80 might tempt more people to consider a purchase. That model would be terrific for kids.

I think that the .99 covers that I saw at a Sony store recently were for the PRS-300. One cover was burgundy and the other was white.
