Hi All
Just joined this forum after getting a kindle. I absolutly love it, I think it is better than reading a book.
I have just bought 2 books off Waterstones only to find that they dont work on the kindle, It is a shame that you can only buy books from amazon to work on the kindle. I think that they should publish that fact when you buy the kindle

Hi Colin and welcome to MobileRead. You can use Calibre software (free here on MR) to change formats on non-DRM protected eBooks.

Visit the Calibre site and you'll find they have a new section called 'Open Books' which olists DRM-free offerings from publishers. That means you can easily and freely convert them to Mobi format for your Kindle using the free Calibre library software. Easy as pie.

Also note my temporary sig line below. I'd be delighted to send you the books of your choice in Mobi for Kindle with our compliments.
