Fancy Schmancy

A guy I work with was showing me his android enabled phone and its various features. Usual news feeds,videos and games. I went on and told him my desire to possibly get a android enabled tablet device.

Not really knowing what I was talking about he responded by saying he didn't need anything "fancy schmancy" like that. There by putting a period on the end of are conversation.

Was wondering does anyone here ever use the phrase "fancy schmancy" ?

I really enjoy slang terms plus how and when they are used. And this was one is quite interesting.

Yep, I've used that phrase before. Not in that snarky context

And I usually use it with a special "tone" to it... singsongy...

Glad you enjoyed them jerrywojo. I would like to point out however, they are Dublin as in (Ireland) sayings and not U.K.
