Troubleshooting Instapaper "compilation" not being received by Kindle/Amazon

So, I've entered my username@free.kindle.com address over on Instapaper. And I've added kindle.qbibg@instapaper.com to my list of approved email addresses over on my Manage Your Kindle page.

Clicked the "Send a compilation of my articles now" button aaaaaaaaaaand nothing.

So, what did I miss?

I think you need to add the following email address to your approved list of addresses:
kindle.wowri@instapaper.com

But I know Instapaper is having problems with the Kindle feature since some days ago.

I just sent myself a compilation, and it went through ok. Sometimes it takes a few minutes, and sometimes I have to hit the send button more than once.

OK, so it sounds like everybody has their own email address for Instapaper, yeah?

Yes, each person has their own instapaper address. Remove all of the ones that they told you to add. And just add "@instapaper.com". That will blanket all possible Instapaper emails. Later on, after you are finished troubleshooting, feel free to change it back.

Follow these steps for troubleshooting

1. Send the compilation again
2. Go to the Instapaper Kindle page and verify that it says "Your last compilation was sent xxx seconds ago"
3. Verify that the beginning of the email on that page corresponds to the beginning at Menu -> Settings -> Device E-mail (on page two)
4. Go to the Amazon Kindle page and look to the right under the box "Delivery Status for". Under that box, verify that the select menu has the name of your Kindle selected. Check to see if there is "Instapaper-ReadLater-xxxx-xx-xxx" in the same box. If it is there, look at the icon on the left. If it's orange, periodically refresh the page until it turns green.
5. Check the icon on the top-left of your Kindle. Verify that it says WiFi and has at least a few bars.
6. Click Menu -> Sync & Check for Items. It should appear on your Kindle

P.S. I just verified that it works on my Kindle, so Instapaper is not broken (yet)

Thank you, very much, kranu! I realized that something just wasn't right when you mentioned the part about "Your last compilation was sent xx seconds ago"....

You know what I forgot to do? I forgot to hit SAVE! It's now working just dandy!

Interesting. I did not realize that the addresses were unique!

If you can't get the wireless delivery to work from the instapaper website, then you could always download the file and transfer via USB.

I think I'm going to have to do that regardless... I wanted to transfer some knitting patterns over to my Kindle, and Instapaper ended up deleting the pattern charts that I needed. I had a bunch of patterns in my archive from back when you could save the entire web page and not just the text, but it looks like that isn't being supported anymore.

I'll have to see how Calibre handles things.
