Kovid,
The Using Recipes sticky is ready. I'll write another for Writing Recipes as I get time. I'll need to put a link from the Using sticky to the Writing Recipes sticky at some point.

Before I saw this post, in keeping with the new theme, I closed the thread. If this was wrong feel free to reopen it.

It should remain closed. I'll want to add a link to it at some point after the How to "Write a Recipe" sticky is done. I was previewing and editing the post and inadvertently hit "Submit" instead of the "Preview" button. I was trying to keep the future sticky clean, whcih is why I posted in this new thread. In the couple of minutes before I'd found all the errors, Don0801 managed to sneak in with a post. I'll probably just post the entire HowTo- Use Recipes post as a new thread, with any changes needed, and we can stick the new thread, and unstick the current one. If anyone sees any changes/additions/suggestions for the HowTo in Recipes, post them in this thread and they'll get incorporated in the final update.

No, I can't edit it. I already have some changes I'd like to make, so I've made the changes in an offline copy. I don't want to keep asking for it to be stuck and unstuck just for minor changes, so I'm saving them until I have enough.

I'd like to post it and work on it online, but if I do, the thread will attract other posts, unrelated to its purpose or correcting things I already know are unfinished. I think you can't edit it because it was closed. Once a thread is closed only moderators can edit it. If you're willing to become a moderator, then you will be able to edit it.

I'm willing to be a moderator, with a focus on the Recipes sub forum.
