no way...I dunna beereeve it!! Have to go and see fer myself.
it's NOT the connection it was the old code and server. I could not live with it on a 7.1mb connection so don't worry it's your dial-up limiting things. Remember they are pretty much only serving up text which takes nothing in terms of bandwidth. So the slowness was in the design and very dated code for the forum itself. Thanks, I just went and took a look at it. When they went to the last version I found it so bad that I almost completely stopped using it, and almost completely stopped buying and reading Baen books.
It drove me away. |
