Convert and delete

I am using Sony reader and usually I try to download books in epub format but sometimes they will be in other formats so then I have Calibre convert them to epub.

After they are converted Calibre puts them in a folder under the author name and a sub folder for the title.

Is it possible to have the conversion done and then at the same time delete the format I don't want? If not is there a way from Calibre to right click the title and delete the original format? I have simply erased the original format from the folder but Calibre still shows both formats as available in the right side column

Highlight a book (or books)
Right-click:
select the Recycle icon:
