I'm a newbie and so confused

I'm using the Sony PRS 600. I purchased a book from Google ebooks and for the life of me I cannot get the book onto my hard drive so that I can upload it into Calibre for transfer to my e-Reader. Anyway I think that's supposed to be the drill, not really sure. Any help would be totally appreciated.

Good to have your company, Lonmore. Why not post your question in the Sony-dedicated sub forum here for quick and sound advice from experienced Sony users? Good luck and best wishes. Neil

Go to "My eBooks" and click on the book you want to download. On the right hand side under "Read Now" look for a link that says "Read on your device" and click it. Towards the bottom of the page should be buttons to "Download EPUB" or possibly PDF. The book I tried is DRM free so clicking the button starts the download process like any other file. If the book has DRM I'd assume you'll get a .acsm file to download which would need to be opened with Adobe Digital Editions or Sony's software in order for it to download. | |
