If anyone gives txtr a try, please post your thoughts, I'm especially interested in hearing about layout customization. |

They should really provide a free book or two so users can try it out quickly.

They do, but it is my understanding the Overdrive causes an issue of it's own.... I could be wrong though.... never used it myself...

The original txtr app did not handle the timed type of Adept DRM. I have no idea if the new one does or not. But we will see when someone tries it.

Then it means that the new txtr app still doesn't work for library eBooks.

Here are some screen grabs from the txtr app for the iPad showing the different fonts sizes and an embedded font. One of them even shows night mode. Give the width of the iPad screen and the fact that I've used no margins, if you wanted to have small left/right margins to not hit the page number on the right, you could without it looking bad at all.

Thanks Jon, I had never even bothered with Txtr before. I will now have to check it out.... the more alternatives I have in readers, the better

To be honest, I do feel that txtr has the best look on the iPad based on a well made ePub. I'll fix up another ePub with a slight left/right margin so the ADE page number will not interfere with any of the text.

Has anyone else seen any weird errors when using the txtr app to import ade epubs?
