EU competition watchdog investigates eBooks
My gut feeling reading this piece is that it's possibly related to, or inspired by, the UK's Office of Fair Trading investigation into Agency Pricing.

I'll see if I can find out any more, but for now, this Reuters piece is worth a read:
EU competition officials have raided several companies in the e-book sector suspected of having broken anti-cartel rules, the European Commission said on Wednesday.
