Got a stumper here for you! Wallpaper issue.
SO!
Before I rooted, I was able to set a wallpaper with no issues. I would use the crop box to pick out the area of the picture I wanted, and that's exactly how it would turn up on my NC. Now I'm using Zeam. When I set a wallpaper, the crop box works the same, but the resulting image I get isn't what I select. It's just like, a zoomed in version of what I selected. Take a look at these images: |

See, it should show the entire image. That's how it was pre-root. Anyone seen this before?

It does this with the default Nook wallpapers too.

I prefer to use live wallpapers, like Aquarium, but this thread has instructions on setting proper static wallpapers. Summary: use the stock launcher instead of Zeam and have the Nook lying flat. If you haven't installed it already, use Home Switcher to launch the stock launcher temporarily.

Yea.. Thats cause the wallpaper spans 3 windows.. One should optimally shoot for wallpaper in 1200x1024 resolution or so

No dice. I even tried uninstalling Zeam, same results though, even with the default BN wallpapers

Flashed my NC to apply 1.1. I'm sure I'll root it again, just want to see the improvements.
Wallpaper works again. However, I noticed that after flushing my device and updating it to 1.1, I'm still getting that little menu key on the right side of my on-screen arrow. It doesn't do anything when I touch it, however. Odd. |

Did you completely go back to stock (both steps?) before applying the update? There were some reports that flashing over root did not remove apps but just the ability to have superuser permission. So button savior/softkeys would leave its onscreen toggle but not be able to run since it requires superuser permission.] Ah, wait, I see you mean the Nook-supplied replacement for the hardware 'menu' key. Maybe its there so that the upcoming BN-blessed apps written by developers can make use of it. Existing stock Nook apps don't tend to use it yet. Last edited by zartemis; 01-27-2011 at 03:56 AM. |

Right, the factory nook arrow- to the left are notifications, and to the right is the WIFI, Battery, and Time.
I did do both steps to clear the device. Maybe that menu key is always there and I never really noticed it. I haven't seen it since that one time though, so maybe it was just a hiccup. |
