PDF w/ Korean & English to Mobi Help Needed

I have a PDF Korean language textbook which is in both Korean and English.

Using calibre version 0.8.31

I've tried converting the PDF to MOBI.

When I open the MOBI file in my Kindle 3.3 or the calibre program itself, the Korean characters do not appear. Either there's nothing there or sometimes I see something like "9780415774871_C 07.indd 4".

I'm guessing this is a calibre problem since the calibre program does not show the Korean characters.

My Kindle has been updated.

I'm a total beginner to converting files so detailed explanations and in depth references to other programs, if needed, would be appreciated.
