His stuff has really, really been out of print.
He mostly sort of did pastiches of other authors. His Lovecraft stuff is dreadful (what I've read of it), but supposedly some of his sword & sorcery stuff is pretty good. |

Wildside Press has been reprinting some and there are a couple of others higher priced at Amazon and one at Fictionwise, but this one just came out.
I read the sample of this one and it actually looks pretty good. |

I have an almost complete collection in a climate-controlled storage in the U.S., including one of his X-rated fantasy novels. (I think it was published by Zebra.)
Most of his work is horrible, but in a horribly interesting way. In my opinion, he was a much more talented editor than he was a writer. However, that being said, I really enjoyed his Thongor novels when I was a young teenage brat back in the mid-'60s, when I hungered for more Conan. "Tower of Medusa" was originally a Belmont Double, by the way. Don |
