I added a wrist strap to my JBL...

I finally took advantage of that tiny unnoticeable hole in the bottom left and behind. I used some hemp twine I have left over from tying down my bicycle bar tape, it's good for that too.

Probably most people come up with this idea five seconds after they notice the hole but probably think string is too cheap and cheesy. Well try hemp twine, looks classy and is strong too.

Just an idea.

That's actually the area for the wrist strap I think. The Aluratek Libre Pro comes with a little black nylon type wrist strap, with a thin twine like thread for fitting into that hole =).

Wrist straps and neck straps are common camera accessories.

I made a neck strap for my JBL using some brown stretchy "surgical tubing", (like you use
for "slingshots") and a thick plastic straw.

Luck;

It's only a matter of time before Run DMC starts wearing e-book readers on their necks, dangling from gold chains.

Not trying to be a wisecracker here, but who would put their E-Reader on a wrist strap.. You can't read with it there and who would want anythng that large dangling and bobbing about? Banging into stuff would not be good for it at all..

For security. So you don't drop it. You can indeed read with it there--just loop it on your wrist. It's especially useful if you fall asleep reading.

I really wish the Libre Color had a way to attach a wrist strap. It's a handy little feature on the JBL.

These days those straps with the thin cord loops are also big accessories for flashlights and thumb drives. The dollar stores near me sell the straps by themselves.

Wrist straps are more of a safety precaution as Catlady mentioned. I find them to be more of a danger though. I usually pop my head up on a bus or train and realize I'm about to miss my stop and then hurriedly grab my laptop bag and bound for the doors as they're closing. A wrist strap would hinder me at the very least, or cause my libre to smack someone in the face at worst, to say nothing of the damage to unit itself.

Well, I imagine people who hold their ereaders in their hands. As one doesn't want their $100 piece of electronics slipping away. Why have a camera wriststrap?

I don't want to sit next to you.

Odd responses here. Don't let it hinder you, don't hurt people with it. It's a wriststrap.

LOL. Put the wrist strap on my Libre Pro because on a few occasions I would be reading in bed, on my side, fall asleep while reading and the Libre would fall to the floor with a loud thump. I can also attest to the toughness of the Libre Pro to drops!!
