Should eReader be registered??

It just occurred to me, I don't recall filling out any registration on my new KOBO WiFi.. How will I know when there are any updates etc. to my new eReader??

When you connect to the Kobo servers through WiFi or the desktop, you will be notified when an update is ready for you.
