Hi all, Peter from North East England
New user with a brand new kindle 3, itching to get started and haven't got a clue! lol. Will be searching the forums for help with my new kindle and most importantly whether there are any software programmes out there that will allow me to convert other formats to amazon kindle!

The best software that I know of to convert other formats to mobi (which will work on your Kindle) is Calibre:

It's free, and its maker is a MR member. It's also great for organizing your library.

Good to have your company, Darloman. Calibre is ideal for converting other formats into Mobi for your Kindle ... IF the ebooks are DRM-free. If not, that takes a bit of prior messing to strip the DRM software before conversion. Happy Kindling and best wishes. Neil
