Hello from Ireland
Hello everyone!

I splashed out on a Kindle 3 last October and have been quietly lurking about this forum.

So far buying the Kindle has been one of the best decisions in my life, reigniting by old passion for reading after a long lapse. In recent years, I kept adding books to my shelves but I just couldn't find the time during my hectic work schedule to actually read them. It didn't help that I didn't like carrying books with me, I always was a carrying a lot of computer equipment and cables in my bag and was reluctant to drop a book into that chaos. Anyway, I always was a stay-at-home reader - maybe because I am very shy and would be mortified if complete strangers tried to check out the cover to see what I was reading!

Now I'm carrying an entire library with me whereever I go and reading whenever I have a few minutes of time and I'm going through my "to read" list like crazy!

Welcome to MobleRead. I've got 5 sister-in-laws that live in Ireland so we get over there a lot.

I had the same experience as you. I was not reading and was able to start up again when I got my nook. Usually I'm reading several books at once (a nonfiction and a fiction title) and then some reading for work (I'm a writer). With my e-reader I can take them all where ever I go so if I get stuck somewhere I can start reading whatever I feel like reading. I'll be taking my whole library with me to Ireland next summer!
