Exclamation Good at Heaving a Heavy Body
(It was just Benny Hill pretending to be Chinese and mispronouncing, "Good evening, everybody!")

I'm a bookworm and cinephile from Southern California who has more or less given up television entirely, except as a vehicle for viewing movies. I read two or three hours a night and, in fact, start feeling a bit edgy when I don't get some reading time every day. And I've been this way for decades.

Approximately 40% of my reading these days is on my Kindle 2. I belong to several reading groups on Yahoo! (most notably the Anthony Trollope, French Literature, and Honoré de Balzac groups.)

I write an almost daily blog at http://ixtaccihuatl.multiply.com/, where I air my views on politics, literature, film, my past, and just about anything else. (If you are politically conservative, you would probably not like my stuff.)

I am interested in hearing from any similarly disaffected individuals.
