PRS-900 Ddownloading from diesel ? ? ?

Yesterday I bought some books from diesel and they were sent to my email. Okay, no problem with them getting there; but I'm confused. One is epub two are Adobe. I thought there would be no problem in downloading to my reader.
I have downloaded many books from here and other sites that were freebies using epubs. I'm Using Calibre and have no problem in opening and reading them; haven't gotten around to learning how to put covers on books that don't have them but no big deal.

Downloaded the trial from diesel, and am being told that there is a problem, sometihng about flie type .acsm.

I am not sure what to do. I had downloaded I thought Adobe when I bought the reader. I had gone to Sony and set it up there, but deleted it (I thought), don't like the DRM aspect.

Not sure what to do now. Appreciate some help and thank for what help can be given.

edited: I have a suspision that ADOBE is DRM'd, am I right? If so, then I have to have my reader set for DRM and it isn't and I don't plan on doing so.

You need to install Adobe Digital Editions on your computer and use that to open to the .acsm device. You'll need an account with Adobe and to authorize your Sony.

.acsm is a license to download the ePub or PDF ebook. As 'mnfe' stated, you will need either Adobe Digital Editions or Sony Library software to open this book on your computer. Your computer and Sony Reader must be authorized to the same Adobe ID in order to properly read it on your device.
