Page turn: Faster on 350?

Finally knuckled under and tried a 350 at Best Buy last night, and I noticed: The page turn speed seemed to be noticeably faster than on larger devices (950, nook-epaper, kindle3). The Boy confirmed he saw it, too.
It made sense; smaller screen, faster page turn.
The question is: Once one get the requisite 1000 books on the device, does the page turn speed slow down? Seems it should. And does that happen on the larger-screen devices?

ps I know, I know, LCD screens are faster, yada yada. I mean Pearl epaper.

I have over 1000 books on my 650 and my page turns are quick. The reader will be slow until it builds all the thumbnails for that many books, then it is back to normal speed.

When reading a body of text the page turn speed does not appear to be affected by the number of books actually stored in the machines memory.

And the 'fast forward' (swipe and hold) is impressive - was surprised by that. Haven't really compared page turn on my 350 to my old 505 - must be quicker considering the ability to do this fast wforward.

How many books on your device won't make any difference - unless i'm missing something?
