I know, nobody's going to believe me. I should have taken a screen shot.

Last night, I opened a thread and under each users name there was a random remark about that person. It was repeated 6 or 7 times in list form and huge letters.

I'm not talking about the little description right under a person's name that we can change. This was something different and always started with the person's user name.

I was tired and forget what they all said but they were funny and went something like this.

"randomuser got an A in P-Chem"
"randomuser is smarter than you"
"randomuser lives in an igloo"

It's the karma comment. Hover your mouse over the "Reputation" - the row of boxes under the user title.

You are not alone, I've noticed the same thing on the odd occasion when the forum page is stuttering to load ....

Notice what it says under HarryT's "Reputation" .... (ps.,,... and mine !)

It normally shows as blue squares, and the "karma fortune" appears when you hover the mouse on them, but if you have images disabled (or only cached images), you'll see the text instead of each square.

Jellby can name that ebook in five words.

Once in a while, the images glitch and you get their alt/name text instead of the images. As much fun as it would be to say you're hallucinating, it's just a normal bit of MobileRead (and Web) randomness, perhaps made more noticeable by the fact that MR doesn't usually do that.

(p.s. I really do put my pants on both legs at a time. I sit on the edge of the bed. Don't you?)
