disaster - screen is shot

Took my kobo out today and it had a large square in the middle that won't refresh - guess there's nothing I can do? If I remember right this isn't covered by warranty?

This seems to be a growing issue with the current generation Kobo. Is your device a Ko1 or Ko2?

If you believe the screen issue is not something you may have caused, then take the Kobo back to the vendor you purchased it from and ask for a replacement. Many Kobo owners with the same issue have had replacements provided when the screen has suddenly and inexplicably died.

YAY, I'll just say that I love my local Chapters. Took it in and came home with a new wifi Kobo.

Yes. I originally purchased in May, then started having issues with the sdcard slot, so had it replaced in August. I'm super happy to have a wifi! Now I'm impatiently waiting for all my books to sync so that I can really try it out and see how it compares to the original.
