Hotmail?????!????!

Do any of you very smart people know how to access hotmail using a PDA even just for viewing messages? I have found a couple of cash-hungry subscription services who claim they can do it but if I had the kind of money they want I would buy a Satalite-access PCMCIA card and cary my laptop around with me wherever I go.
I have tried sync'n with outlook (express) but I am told that it is quite impossible due to fact hotmail doesnt save my messages into the inbox where the palm sync goes to look for them.
Since I used to be able to use hotmail on my phone (most of the time) there has to be a way to use plucker, avntgo, or even isillo to retrieve messages.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

I never really used Hotmail, but I found a site for you that explains how to use Hotmail with Avantgo. I am sure you can also adjust it for other offline browsers like iSilo following its instructions. The page is:

Un poco como el servicio que tiene en pruebas Microsoft pero que saldrá un pelín caro. Aquí, soluciones a bajo coste (o gratis como este caso).

Cada vez que envíes o borres un coreo te avisará que la operación se realizará en la siguiente sincronización, pero puedes pedir tantas como quieras. Puedes borrar varios, escribir uno y sólo leer alguno. Lo almacena en tu Pocket PC y cuando sincronices lo realiza todo.







Algunos consejos y soluciones.

Y un último consejo para acabar es que no hagas log out cuando estés en tu canal Hotmail, ya que si lo haces perderás la cookie y deberás empezar todo este proceso de nuevo. Lo mismo con las opciones de Pocket Internet Explorer: si borras las cookies te lo cargas todo de nuevo. Aún así se supone que las cookies tienen una duración limitada, así que te pedirán que hagas login de nuevo. A mi aún no me ha sucedido, pero en cuanto me ocurra os diré como solucionarlo si es que no se puede hacer desde el propio canal en AvantGo (me imagino que sí).

Pues bien, ya ha ocurrido y se resuelve desde el propio canal, afortunadamente. Tras unos días sin sincronizar he recibido una pantalla pidiéndome que me identifique introduciendo la clave.



Tras indicar la clave y sincronizar recibí una nueva página en la que indicaba los problemas de no tener habilitados Javascript y los requisitos del explorador. Sin embargo, y para mi sorpresa, pasado un día (no sé exactamente si tras una sincronización o dos) volví a tener completamente operativo el correo a través de Hotmail en AvantGo. Comprobado que aunque caduque la cookie se puede seguir funcionando correctamente.





Y rizar el rizo.

Puedes poner en el apartado de preferencias en Hotmail (consultándolo desde el ordenador de mesa), en "Responder a", tu dirección de correo habitual con lo que los mensajes enviados parecerá que los envías desde esa. Si alguien te responde lo hará a tu correo de siempre, y podrás recibirlo en tu ordenador de mesa. La otra persona verá tu nombre tal y como lo pusiste en tu cuenta en Hotmail, y al presionar en contestar en su lector de correo aparecerá la dirección de siempre.

La combinación de esta opción con el reenvío de correo desde tu cuenta habitual que te comentamos más arriba te hacen tener una verdadera oficina móvil, sin gastarte un duro y sin complicaciones. Sólo queda que os hagáis vuestro menú según intereses.

Por cierto ya la última cosa. Este sistema sólo permite correo sin formato HTML. Si os envían uno con este formato, lo recibiréis igual pero con algunos caracteres entre el texto. De todas formas es común que la gente envíe los correos sin formato porque no todos los lectores de correo lo permiten.
