PRS-600 PRS600 'Collections' sort

I have had a PRS600 for around a year now, and use Calibre to manage my library and transfer books to the reader. The collections page on the reader groups books by both Tags and Series.
I have been asked to put some books on a new prs600 just purchased at a knock down price (obsolete?) this reader groups books by Tags, Series and Author.
Is there a way of stopping it from using Author, as it leads to a very long list, and Author sort is available on the title page anyway.

You should be able to configure Calibre to create Collections from whichever fields you want.

If you go to Preferences - Plugins - Device Interface Plugins - Sony - Customise plugin,
there is a box which lists which fields will create Sony collections. I think series, tags is the default. It sounds as if you may have authors (or possibly author_sort) in there as well. If you remove the unwanted item(s) you should get what you want.

No idea how it happened, I haven't been in there before.

You could also install PRS+ and have, god forbid, folders...
