Koenig's World
My new novel, Koenig's World, is now available at Smashwords. I was going to call it Forbidden Planet, but I figured it would bring to mind the old movie, and it's a completely different story.
Here's the blurb: Jacob is alone. Alone on a forbidden planet with only Marron, an artificial human for company. Jacob’s father and sister were killed when their ship crash-landed. There is no hope of rescue. Can Jacob survive when there is something dangerous in the forest? ![]() I wrote the first draft of this book ten years ago, and have spent many weeks rewriting it. It is aimed at a young adult audience, though I think anyone might enjoy it. I'll let you know when it's available elsewhere, Amazon etc. At the moment it's only at Smashwords. I haven't had a lot of sales on this so far, but I figured I'd update the thread. The coupon is finished, but the book is available everywhere now.
There is one 4 star review I'm aware of - at Smashwords. "The reader definately gets his or her money's worth with this book. The narration is a little strange at times, as if the story is being told by a child. But it is a page turner from beginning to end. I couldn't help but connect with Jacob as he made his way through such a strange place. The ending was a little rushed and unsettling, but it did not spoil my opinion of the story overall. Koenig's World is worth paying a visit." - Christopher Hunter |

I really liked this story a lot! I reviewed it here. I think the originality of the story is a strength and I was interested the entire way through. I really think the blurb I read on Smashwords doesn't do the plot justice.
