A Question on the Screen Resolution of 350 and 650

Since Sony has put a resolution of 600 X 800 in the 5" screen of PRS-350.

I just wonder why Sony does not/cannot make the resolution on the 6" screen of PRS-650 proportionally higher, i.e. 720 X 960 instead of just 600 X 800.

Any idea?

Hm, maybe it is not nescessary. As far as I know the 6ichers all have that same resolution, but the smaller device benefits no end of the higher resolution, as it makes small font more readable thus giving it more words per page and lessens the need for page turns.

Sony is using standard screens, mass produced to make them as inexpensive as possible. However, there will soon be a higher resolution option, see Story HD' with 6 inch e-ink display with 1024 * 768 resolution.

It's not up to Sony. They don't make the screens.

Lol. Sync post with Wallcraft.

Interesting article on the 6" display at 1024x768. I think a pixel count >200 PPI is a good thing.
