Speed question

Hi i am using my girlfriends prs-300 sony reader. She doesn't use it so I figured I would give it a try. So I just threw this pdf manual for work I have to read on it. To me this thing is slow several seconds to flip pages they are very smooth at all. doesn't seem right to me. Is this thing slightly naturally slow or is there actually a problem? or is it the pdf?

Probably PDF... they can be sluggish on eReaders, depending on how well they are constructed and how much of their content is real text as opposed to scanned page left as jpg internally...

PDF files are indeed much slower on the PRS300. If it is mainly textual, try converting it to epub using Calibre, you will see a significant increase in response speed
