Using a customized title in Stanza
I have a custom column called #mytitle that uses various other columns to create a new title with series information included. This has worked well for proper sorting and display on my Nook.
I would like to use this new column #mytitle instead of the title column from the content server within stanza (in other words I would like stanza to use mytitle rather than title). Can this be accomplished through customization? k |

Sorry, no. The content server does not use plugboards, and adding them is not straightforward. In addition to implementation difficulties, there would be some behavior problems. For example, search cannot use plugboards (it goes right to the database), so searching on title could return books that don't match the #mytitle field and ignore books that do match it.
I suggest that you add an enhancement request ticket. That way, Kovid will be guaranteed to see the question. |
