Motorola Tablet Teaser Video

Really cool video. I'm looking forward to see what Google's REAL tablet version of Android brings to the table just in time to compete with the iPad 2.

I love the take on the iPad -- it's just like a big iPhone....but it's JUST like a big iPhone. With 50,000 "built for iPad" apps out, it's a bit disingenuous, but a good cheap shot nonetheless.

Now lets see if Motorola can put out a 10" version at the price the iPad 2 is going for.

Not really, their comment isn't targeted at apps but the OS and the UI. Which is accurate. They take the same shot at Galaxy Tab which runs the Android 2.2 is also an OS targeted for phones.

The bee at the end of the trailer hints that their tablet will have Honeycomb (Android 3.0) which has been enhanced for the tablet market.

Motorola has done a great job with regards to their Android platform. They not only make great products customers seem to want, but support them well.

Samsung also makes great products, but their support is dismal.

Hi all,

while I'd agree that Motorola has done well with their phones in general - I have a Milestone and am still very pleased with it - support outside the US is pretty poor.

My Milestone is still on Android 2.1, and it will be several months at least, before I can update it, unless I root the phone. Current feeling on the Motorola forum I checked was that updates to 2.2 will be the last, so if Motorola decides to keep the OS locked that's as far as I can go unless I start risk-taking.

All this on a phone less than a year old. My next phone will not be a Motorola, and when I get a tablet, I'll give the Motorola one a miss.

Cheers,
