Future Shop in Canada had it as well. They are refurbished, which in some instances just means they were returned, not that anything was wrong to begin with. Bunches of folks who had bought readers within 30 days of the release of the WiFi returned/exchanged the Kobo-1.

Did you notice they are also selling the Kobo-WiFi? Price last time I looked was $149.

I'll be heading to Future shop for one for my Daughter. WiFi is not needed ,do you know how hard it was for me to find a e-reader that is just an e-reader ,not an mp3 ,net surfing , phone ,keyboarded.What a waste .I just wanted a book reader ,if I wanted all the extra crap I'd get a laptop,netbook or an iPad !!!

Now they say, only in stores, not available online. However I couldn't find if they were actually in stock in any local FS (information not available).

You might want to look at the Kindle because it is faster, but if you want to read library books like I did the Kobo or Sony is the best. But other than the library the Kindle is the best
