Hi All
My Sony Reader can't import books - when I click to add a book, I get the following message. I am running XP Pro. If g:\\ is an sd card reformat it with the FAT32 filesystem

g:\\ is not an sd card - I have no idea what g:\\ means.
It has something to do with the Reader I think because the problem occurs across three different computers, one of which is Linux. I would hate to have to use the Sony software - it is so clumsy compared to yours. Aeschylus |

g:\\ is the drive letter of your 300's memory.
The file system on your 300 is probably hosed, broken by gremlins or by ejections while the memory was being written. At this point I would recover any books on the reader that you don't have elsewhere, then reinitialize the reader's memory using the 300's function. |

What does "reinitialize the reader's memory using the 300's function" mean - how, in words of one syllable or less, do I go about doing that? Thanks in the meantime. Aeschylus |

1) go to the settings menu 2) go to the advanced settings menu 3) choose 'Format Internal Memory' 4) when prompted, push the bookmark button to confirm You should check your manual in case Sony has changed anything, or in case yours is in a different language from English. |
