Search feature on Windows 7 Mobile
Hello,
Im trying to configure my Windows mobiel phone to connect to the Content server on a local machine in my network. I can access the content store an view book by tag, author, title etc. The only thing i cant figure out is the search feature. Everytime i use this URL it says it cant download from the search URL. What is the correct URL to search the database on a Windows 7 mobile phone? Kind regards, Patrick |

/browse/search?query=asimov if you put "asimov" in the search, but you don't really "download from the search URL" and you don't need to know the URL syntax for searching in the normal use case. You download the books from the results of searches or category selection of " tag, author, title etc." in the same way. It occurs to me that perhaps your phone is not recognized as a phone and your browser can't handle Ajax. Try adding /mobile to the end of your URL to get the simplified content server. /server:8080 will give you the main page with Ajax. I suspect your browser won't handle that. /server:8080/search?query=asimov will give you the main page search results with Ajax. Again, I suspect your browser won't handle that. Quote:
/server:8080/opds will give you the opds version and /server:8080/mobile will give you the mobile version. (Which you should get automatically if Calibre recognizes that you are accessing with a mobile phone browser.) |

Although I've never used it, Freda uses opds. Try fixing the error in your opds link. This has nothing to do with searching in Calibre. (I run WM6.5 on HTC HD2 phone and use Opera to browse to the /mobile content server). You can also do the DropBox Calibre2OPDS trick.

Jim Chapman, the author of Freda, posted some instructions for using Freda with calibre at http://www.turnipsoft.co.uk/freda/calibre-how-to.htm. Do they help?
Does that help? If not, the freda forum is at https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho....php?p=1249933 |
