OK here is an odd question for you fine folks: Have you ever pre-ordered an ebook (or another item) that took so long to arrive that you forgot you had actually ordered it?

I had turned on my Kindle the other day and noticed a book that I didn't recognize. I actually thought my girlfriend was playing a trick on me, due to the title "Every Zombie Eats Somebody Sometime: A Book of Zombie Love Songs" ... but it turns out I had ordered it back in August and just forgot all about it.

The look she gave me was pretty priceless when I read her the title though. One of those looks where she seems to be pondering why she is with me lol

Of course. Heck, I have multiple copies of books where I bought a book, it got buried in my to be read pile, then a month later, I saw it again in the book store and said, hey this looks interesting and bought it again. At least that hasn't happened to me with ebooks yet.

I've done that too... more than once! I usually give the doubles away to friends - as you can imagine, my friends really like me.

Luckily I've only repurchased a book three times or so. Having them in ebook form really helps cut down on this. But I still have a few hundred books packed up and I know there's stuff in there I want to read that I don't know I have.
