MS doc save to html question

I'm using MS Word 03 to open a doc document and saving as "web page, filtered" according to Sigil documentation, but after opened with Sigil, it showed lot of blank spaces/line break, those spaces can be deleted manually (please see ex. below), is there anyway I can delete it automatically or is there any trick to avoid those spaces when saving?

Another man-ape came to life, and went through the same routine. This was a
younger, more adaptable specimen; it succeeded where the older one had failed.
On the planet Earth, the first crude knot had been tied.

after removing manually:

Any comments/suggestions is much appreciated.

What, exactly, did you remove? Are those lines wrapped in p tags, or are there break tags at the end of each line, or? You'll have to give us more info.

All those lines are wrapped in p tags, actually further testing I found out that I could remove those breaks in doc document before saving, it'll be easier this way, sorry for the trouble.
