PRS-500 Will a psp wall charger work with the 500?

My sister is giving me her old 500 but it doesn't have an adapter. I think I read on here that the psp wall charger will work. Correct?

Yes, it works fine. It also works with the PRS-505 and 900 (which I own). I think it works for all Sony readers, except the newest models (350, 650, and 950).

Thanks. I don't have any cables at all with the reader. This is the second time she has had problems with it. I called Sony & since it has been less than 90 days since the last repair they are repairing it again. We will see what I have when I get it back. I have a sony usb cable that came with my camera that I tried before I sent it in. I think it will work to charge it because my computer recognized the reader when I had it hooked up. The screen was locked and I tried all the "fixes" that I found online but absolutely nothing worked. Ironically she bought another Sony. Don't know if I would have been that brave?

If you have the non-epub version of the reader it has to have the drivers installed before it'll charge. If not it'll sit there and drain the battery.
The epub version hooks up as a removable drive and will charge fine.
