Kobo Problems...

Hello, I'm new here and I'm hoping I can get some help.

I just got a Wireless Kobo (Ver. 1.7) yesterday and I'm having some problems with it.

- It reverted to GMT (from the EST option I had set) and show the cover of the last novel I read on power off mode (after I chose the selection not to show) a few times and I had to fix it. However, the last few times I powered it off (or turn the sleep mode on), the options are sticking for now.

- Every time I use the Calibre (Version 0.7.28) program, the ePUB and PDFs that I put on the Kobo through Calibre on a previous session erases itself on the new session if I go to the main section of the Kobo on Calibre. Sometimes, some ePUB documents won't show at all although looking at the Kobo through Windows Explorer shows that Kobo has folders for all of them. Also, it would remove all the books I'm reading from the 'I'm Reading' section and say that books that I'm reading are unread went I go to to retrieve them from the Books section (although when press on the book, it will go back to the last page I left on so the bookmark is still there).

For the first problem, make sure that you update the firmware. When you first got it, you should have plugged it into your computer, and it should have tried to update itself to 1.7.1. If it didn't, try reseting the device under settings/advanced and plug it in again.

As for the I'm reading issue, you should be able to go to the list of books currently on the device and select whethere they are in the I'm reading section or not. I'm at work so I can't give you step by step for this I'm afraid.

It seemed to do the trick, even with Calibre! (Although the firmwire updated to 1.7.2!)
