jumble result in EPUB from PRC for accents

I am sorry if this was discussed before ... but it is hard to search this topic and get good result.

I am trying to convert a prc file to epub. The prc file contains words with accents (Vietnamese to be exact - more or less like French). It views fine by Calibre. After I converted it to epub (to be used on my Sony Pocket reader - PRS 300) the epub file was not readable any more due the accents being extra characters and into something else. I know that if I convert it to pdf it is OK. However I want to keep it in EPUB format. Is this doable ? Does it require a plugin.

I converted your file to epub. It works great in calibre viewer (with nice accents, don't have a sony reader to test it though).

You are right ! Calibre was able to converted OK with all accents showing. The problem was the Sony Pocket reader that could not display the accents. I do not know if it has the capability and needs some tweaking or not. I guess I will go to the Sony reader forum to investigate.
