Hi from the UK

Hi all

My name is Liz and I'm from the UK.
I have been lurking here for a while trying to gather information for the potential purchase of an ebook reader. My main use will be for PDF books (scanned) mostly from archive.org but also have a large collection of .mobi from Gutenberg. Particular interests are publications relating to historical travel/discovery, anthropology and wildlife. I don't read fiction. I also use .mobi on my phone.

I now have to decide which device to purchase as I seem to have amassed a heck of a lot of books which I'd love to read on a non-LCD screen. I had originally thought to use my Viliv X70 EX but the screen is tiring my eyes.

Looking forward to being part of this wonderful forum.

Good to have your company, Liz. Before making a choice, it might be an idea to look at the impartial reviews of pretty well all available devices in the *Which One Should I Buy?* forum here at MR. Best wishes. Neil

Hi, thanks for the welcome. Yes, I've been lurking here for quite a while searching through the many forum posts. As I said in my intro, I'm more into non-fiction historic travel/discover/ expedition books, particularly relating to island and wildlife. I have made a promise to myself not to download any more books until I've made a significant impact on the 700+ I already have! Now to find the right ereader for me.
