Used 550, still a good purchase ?

I was interested in a new 650 but the price+shipping to Europe is almost 300 dollars.
I can however find used 505's for much cheaper.

I was wondering what are the differences in:

1. The screen, other than Touch technology. Is the 505 as sharp as the 650 ?
2. PDF Reflow functions, text size functions, lock page, epub compatibility.
3. Unit size. Is the 650 much smaller ?
4. Silver or black 505?

1. Yes, as an owner/user of both I would say they are pretty similar in clarity.
2. You get less text size options on a 505 but I never had any great issues with my 505. epub compatibility is the same. I don't tend to read many PDFs but I have heard that the reflow functions are better on the 650.
3. The 650 is a little smaller and perhaps more importantly, a bit lighter.
4. My 505 is silver and my 650 is black. I like both, but that's very much personal preference.

I think I will get me one of these 505's ... I hate touchscreens anyway !

Where do you come from? If Sony sells them in your own country, there are no shipping costs.

No. 650 is far better.
