Missing Source Format

Hello,
I have a bit of a problem, somehow I've managed to delete the source format of several books. Now I can't read them, convert them or do much of anything to them. I was wondering if anyone knows how I can restore a source format. All of the books in question were originally .pdf and I'm attempting to put them into Epub. I hate it when i not only don't know how to fix something, I don't even know how I broke it. lol
Thanks for any help you can give me.

Calibre doesn't touch your original book format. It should be wherever it was when you imported it into Calibre ... unless you deleted it ... in which case, it should be in your trash.

Calibre created a copy of your original book format when you imported it into Calibre. That copy should still be in Calibre ... unless you deleted it from Calibre ... in which case, it should be in your trash ... unless you run OSX, which doesn't allow Calibre to delete to trash.

If none of those are still around, and you ran a Convert on the original format, then the new format should still be in Calibre ... unless you deleted it ... in which case, it should be in your trash ... unless you run OSX. If the new format is all you have, then you will have to try to convert it into the original format with a reverse Convert.

The exception was the recent calibre version 0.7.25 it did delete source files when adding books. But that was fixed quickly (one day later) with 0.7.26.
