Adapting pay news sites

Hello,
I am trying to adapt news content from two French news sites for which I have pay subscriptions for the web version: Le Monde and Liberation.
Both are listed on Calibre's news sources but presumably this only covers the free content on the sites.
Le Monde subscribers can download a ZIP file of the whole daily newspaper (minus the photos). It unzips to an html index file and a folder with an html file for each article. I have tried unzipping the file on a PC and then transfering to the Kindle, but can't get it to work.
If someone else wants to try, I've uploaded a recent issue to
http://dl.free.fr/vo8ESIiet

Thanks

Try dumping the HTML into Calibre (Taking the ZIP file as it is and adding it ought to work), converting and then transferring. Ask in the recipe subforum if you want to create a new recipe that automatically does that.

Did you convert and view the resulting Mobipocket file?

OK, I' ve tried again. This time I unzipped the file and added the book. This time I used the add a book from a directory.
Now I get just the index page, but none of the other pages.

You still didn't answer the question: Did you convert the book or did you try to view the HTML you imported in the viewer?

Thanks Manichean. Yes, I did convert the book. Now I've gone back and started again and followed your advice of taking notes. I've worked systematically through all the combinations of add books from a single directory with single book per directory and multiple books per directory, followed by convert individually and bulk convert. But none of it works. In one case I get the "your navigator does not support frames" message, in another I got just the index file and nothing else, and in another case I got about a hundred separate articles each listed as a book.
Am I trying to re-invent the wheel?

Well, I'm out of ideas. Depending on what Calibre does to frames in the conversion process you might have to remove them manually. I suggest waiting for someone more knowledgeable to show up.
