My first ereader!
Hello from Texas! It took me a while to decide on which reader to buy, but I am very happy with my Sony PRS 650. Thank you to all who posted their opinions and experiences in the past. Your comments were valuable in helping me to decide which features are important to me. I got just what I wanted in the Sony Reader Touch. It being my first reader I have nothing to compare it to, but I see no reason to try any other or debate why one is any better than another. I love mine and plan to stick with it.
I have already read more from some genres than in the last 10 years. I've already bought a book from my wife's favorite authors for her to try it out. (You know what this means for Christmas don't you?) It is incredible how convenient and enjoyable reading is with an ebook. Soon I hope to figure out checking out books from a library. Our local library is very small and has no ebooks. I hope to find a larger library or network of libraries from which to browse and choose. I have one small peeve that I wonder if anyone else has considered. The name Ebook is fine, but the name ereader---does that bother anyone? I am the reader not the device. I believe that for myself I will call it eprint or something. |

Don't get me wrong the Sony PRS readers are excellent readers, perhaps the most technologically advanced readers and excellent performers from what I have seen. I am just not willing to fork out that much for any ereader.

Welcome to Mobileread, bropete.
I call it an "e-book reader", because thats what it is. As its your device, you can call it whatever you want.......just don't expect it to answer... ![]() Enjoy the forums. |
