epubs gone after update?

Hi everyone,

I'm so sorry if this has been covered already.

I updated Calibre yesterday and suddenly I only have 4 epubs when I used to have over 1,000. I'm still showing the right number of books in my library but I can't find them under format.

Help?

Suppose you updated to 0.7.24, right ?

Done the same without any problem.
All my books (several formats) are still shown after upgrade.

Hi Melly

IF

1) you have no filter in place (should say "Restrict to" near the Binoculars. If not, set to the blank at the list top.)

2) The search bar is empty (use the back-x arrow on the right)

I would suggest that you close Calibre all the way (no tray icon).
Then un-install (this does not remove your settings or Library.
reboot, just to be safe

Re-install.

Hiya,

Upon further investigation it would seem that all the books I had as epubs aren't registering as epubs anymore. I tried to convert them again and got the dreaded "not a valid sorce format" error.

I'm going to try and convert them to something else once the current job is done.

For the record it's the most recent version and I did try uninstalling and reinstalling.
