Downloading books from this site

OK, I'm new at this. I assumed the books offered on this site are free for downloading. Is this correct? If so, I cannot figure out how to do this. I appreciate any help.

Yes, the books are free. To download them, click on the "Ebooks" link on the top bar, and then select either by format, or latest uploads. I recommend using the latest uploads link as it gets you directly into the section, and from there you can choose which format you want of any one of the latest ebook uploads. Then once you find what you want, just click on the link provided in the first post and download the file.

If you want to search for ebooks, just use the search link on the top bar and then "advanced search". Enter the title you're looking for just like you would for searching the normal forums, but for the actual forum to search in, scroll down to the "ebook uploads" forum and select that, plus all sub forums to search all ebook postings for the title you're looking for.

Yes

How to download the books and read them (these instructions are for windows computers):

1 - if you want to read them in your computer you need to have installed the reading software for the format you want to download, for you to be able to read the book
• navigate to the book you want
• click in the name of the book. It opens a new window where it shows information about the book, almost at the end of the page you will see under “Attached files” a file. Double click on it
• a new window appears, it lets you choose to open the book or save it somewhere.
• if you open the book, the reading program launches and the book appears opened in it’s first page ready to be read
• if you save it somewhere, you can read it too just by double clicking in the file

2 - if you want to read them in your eBook reader
• do the “save it somewhere” explained in (1)
• connect your reader to your computer via it’s USB cable
• copy the file to the reader and disconnect
• in the reader, access to the list of books, the book should be listed and thus available to be read.
• note: there are variations to this point (2), like if the reader as a SD (or other) slot, you can use a SD and a card reader, copy the file to the SD, insert it in the reader and it’s available to be read…

Not completely.

It's your responsibility to check that the books are not in copyright in your country. If they are, you are not free to download them.

Otherwise ... yes, you can go ahead and download, and there is nothing to pay.
